Latest generation electronics coupled with a tough PP UV stabilised weatherproof housing with insect screens make this a compact, powerful and maintenance free unit.

The S100 will run for 3.5 days in complete darkness and only takes about 4-5 hours of sunlight to recharge the battery from flat. Smart battery saving technology monitors the battery level and when it gets low the S100 will automatically lower the voltage and increase the pulse interval to extend the battery life.

Confused about certain claims some manufactures put out about joules, stored joules and fence distances?

Lets try and take out some of the mumbo jumbo and make it is easier to compare apples with apples.

In a nutshell it is best to compare output joules (not stored joules) at certain load ratings, 500 ohms is the equivalent of a mammal touching a fence and Australian Standards dictate no energiser can have an output of greater than 5 joules under such load.

200 ohms is considered a tough load rating and this is where an energiser shines or fades away.

New electronics in these SG series energisers don't need a high amount of stored joules due to their efficient electronics and capacitors. (stored joules will always be higher than output joules)

Some manufacturers base their fence distances on these higher stored joule amounts and in perfect world scenarios with with fully insulated wire, perfect energiser placement and no grass or foliage touching the wire.

We give you a realistic recommended fence length, not a best case fingers crossed length.
